4th Broken Illusion

[ Just as promised, Touma is waiting at the corner for Arisawa to show up. He hasn't been here long, but he got tired of standing still so he's pacing a circle around the stop sign, pausing when there's a chance a car or bike would be coming by and could hit him --- but nothing happens. ]

[ Open : Rec Center ]
[ Part of it is to keep in shape, and part of it is to work out stress, but today Touma decided to visit the gym as he does from time to time. You'll find him either working on the stationary bike (that doesn't break), lifting weights (that don't come undone and drop onto his feet), or punching at a bag (that doesn't come apart or otherwise break).

Yeah. Someone's noticed that things aren't quite "normal' for him, and since he can't come up with a rational explanation, it has him just a bit ticked off. Since he lacks his power, he'll have to make up for it in other ways. Recent talks with people who went through hard times back in their own worlds only served to reinforce this.

Touma barely takes a break between activities, sitting somewhere alone with his sandwich or a bottle of water, before getting right back to it. ]


(OOC: People can also use this post to just call Touma or stop by his house if there is a need for it. o/ )

No problem. I thought they were still getting handed out but I guess I'll have to be a bit more proactive with the new kids if it's the case that it's not.

It helps keep the lectures down too so it's a really useful tool.

Exactly! And while most people fall into it pretty quickly, there's still the people that don't quite see this...I don't mind if its because this place is honestly better then what they had but there are some...Ah, whatever the case most of us are workin' together in some form or another.

Just as long as the general public doesn't get content or -- even worse -- become broken by what happens here. [ Giving his arms a break, now. ] I don't like the idea of force being the only option, but numbers have to count for something around here.

You'd think, but when you're fightin' something this powerful sometimes numbers don't work. But I ain't waitin' around for some damn hero to show up, that's just for fairy tales. We can only do what we can.

...right. That'll have to do, for now. [ Touma moves to put those weights back, rolling his shoulders. ] I think I've going to hit the stationary bike, next. If you need to find me later, you can call me or stop by 840 Hastings. [ Small smirk. ] Drone parents, but otherwise the girl there is on the level.

Alright, I'm at 747 Partridge, the whole family is awake and aware so you don't need to worry 'bout drones there.

[Funny indeed, technically he's a hero in his own canon but in Weiss there are no true hero's.]
