4th Broken Illusion

[ Just as promised, Touma is waiting at the corner for Arisawa to show up. He hasn't been here long, but he got tired of standing still so he's pacing a circle around the stop sign, pausing when there's a chance a car or bike would be coming by and could hit him --- but nothing happens. ]

[ Open : Rec Center ]
[ Part of it is to keep in shape, and part of it is to work out stress, but today Touma decided to visit the gym as he does from time to time. You'll find him either working on the stationary bike (that doesn't break), lifting weights (that don't come undone and drop onto his feet), or punching at a bag (that doesn't come apart or otherwise break).

Yeah. Someone's noticed that things aren't quite "normal' for him, and since he can't come up with a rational explanation, it has him just a bit ticked off. Since he lacks his power, he'll have to make up for it in other ways. Recent talks with people who went through hard times back in their own worlds only served to reinforce this.

Touma barely takes a break between activities, sitting somewhere alone with his sandwich or a bottle of water, before getting right back to it. ]


(OOC: People can also use this post to just call Touma or stop by his house if there is a need for it. o/ )

Oh hey kiddo. [His smile is open and friendly and he moves aside to let Touma through.]

That's the joys of working in retail, I work shifts so I get weird days off sometimes. I don't really mind, means I get places like this to myself pretty much occasionally.

I don't mind the company though.

There's that. [ He takes a seat with the dumbbells on the floor before him and starts with stretches. ] I wonder if I should try to find some work. Having a little extra spending money might be nice...

[She arrives a little late, having been caught up at the music store, but she's here now, and she's visibly uncomfortable with the clothing options she's been left with, despite trying her best to hide it.]

Hey, sorry 'bout that. I didn't make you wait too long, did I?

[ He pulls himself onto the curb with a hand on the sign. ] Not really. I got here faster than I thought. [ But to be honest, he had nothing else to do and didn't check his watch, so it just wasn't something worth pointing out. ]

[ Hey, a smile. That's better. He starts walking. ] Did you get any more answers?

[She follows alongside him, letting out a bemused sigh.] I've only had so much time to. Talked to a couple other people in the park, lost track of time with that, had to make a dash to get back to the house and change, and now here we are. Didn't hear much I didn't know already, but I got my hands fixed, so that's a plus. [Which she readily shows off.]

[ Touma listens to all that, but is focused on stepping closer to get a better look. ] --whoa. It's like you weren't even hurt in the first place. [ Picking one up to look even closer. ] ...how did you do that?

[And at the punching bags, Imouto stands. Or rather, she's delivering a series of kicks and punches to the bag. Can't let herself become rusty should something show up.

It's also the easiest way to burn some excess food off. Can't get chubby, after all. The drones said that there's no way any guy would like her if she was chubby!]

[ Touma's watching from where he came into the room, having just finished some time on the stationary bike. His legs are sore, but that's fine because kicking isn't usually in his style when it comes to this sort of workout.

Part of the spying is to admire her handiwork, just in case they end up having to fight each other in the future more seriously; an unpleasant thought, but something he has come to know during his time here. He recalls Mikoto having to turn on Accelerator, and of course his own adventures in running away from zombie clones.

...but facing off against one another? Why is he having thoughts like this? ]

[And of course, naturally, Imouto spies Touma watching her, and of course, is compelled to work a little harder while pretending that she doesn't know he's watching her.

No, those series of kicks and punches totally aren't more showy then practical, it's just your imagination. She's totally not showing off that much.

[ Of course she's not, and he's not paying so much attention that he gets shoved out of the way of a couple of guys who were trying to get through the way he was going. ]

Watch out! You shouldn't be in the way of the door like that, kid. Someone could get hurt.

[ Ah, dammit, drones! He turned to apologize and then walk further into the room, but freezes because she no doubt spotted him.

[It startles her enough so that she does turn to face him, and just stares for a moment.]

Hi. [ This is only mostly awkward. Touma would say "feeling better, I see" but that would be ridiculous because it's been weeks since she was ill from the party, so of COURSE she's feeling better. ] I didn't know you trained here, too.
